Dave Weinberg's Two-Minute Drill: Cowboys 41, Eagles 37
How it happened
Score at halftime: Eagles 30, Cowboys 24
Score after third quarter:
Eagles' best number: 2 (number of turnovers forced by the Eagles' defense).
Eagles' worst number: 98 (length in yards of Felix Jones' kickoff return for a touchdown in the first quarter).
You had to be there
The Cowboys' fans were in an even rowdier mood that usual, possibly because it was the last "Monday Night Football"
game at Texas Stadium. They lined the front rows of the bleachers during pregame warmups to both cheer the Cowboys and boo the Eagles.
Three stars
1. Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb (another gem at Texas Stadium)
2. Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens (burned his old teammates for 2 touchdowns)
3. Eagles running back Brian Westbrook (scored 3 touchdowns)
Turning point
The Cowboys finally took the lead for good with 4:35 left in regulation, when the Eagles' first offensive turnover this season led to Marion Barber III's 1-yard touchdown run that put the Cowboys ahead 41-37. The Eagles, thanks to a 47-yard kickoff return from rookie Quintin Demps, appeared on their way to the end zone when McNabb and Westbrook bobbled an exchange and the Cowboys recovered the fumble.
Eagles' best play
Blitzing safety Brian Dawkins knocked the ball loose from Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo in the end zone and linebacker Chris Gocong recovered it for the Eagles' first defensive touchdown since 2006.
Eagles' worst play
Cornerback Lito Sheppard and safety Sean Considine surrendered a 72-yard touchdown pass from Romo to Owens in the first quarter. Owens, who played for the Eagles in 2004-05, raced past Sheppard and caught Romo's on-the-money pass in stride.
That gets the nod over Felix Jones' 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Jones was not touched on the play.
Did you notice?
Cornerback Sheldon Brown, punter Sav Rocca and Westbrook were the Eagles' captains for the coin toss.
Owens was one of the Cowboys' captains. Westbrook barely acknowledged him when they met at midfield.
Hank Baskett appeared to recover a Jackson fumble in the end zone for a touchdown on the Eagles' opening drive, but the officials ruled the original pass incomplete.
Owens chest-bumped the Cowboys mascot after his 72-yard TD in the first quarter.
Place-kicker David Akers made a feeble attempt at tackling Jones.
The officials missed a blatant facemask penalty against the Cowboys late in the first quarter when a defender grabbed Westbrook's helmet and twisted it. They missed another facemask penalty after Asante Samuel's interception.
Baskett provided a key block on Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins on McNabb's 6-yard TD pass to Westbrook in the second quarter.
Jones nearly broke another kickoff for a TD in the second quarter, due to a poor tackling attempt by Eagles safety Sean Considine.
Owens appeared to taunt Dawkins after his second TD, but no penalty was called.
Jason Avant threw a nice block at the end of McNabb's thrilling scramble in the second quarter.
Right guard Shawn Andrews suffered a back injury in the first half and did not return. Max Jean-Gilles took his place.
